Sano Sansar: Movie Review

Directed by the noted music video director Alok Nembang as his debut, Sano Sansar has a blend of good direction, notable cinematography and innate flow of action. The movie revolves around a simple story of urban youths. This movie, far different from those stereotypical Nepali movies, has a very good composition of music ranging from Sachin Singh to Satya-Sworup, Raju Singh and Jems Pradhan to Anil Singh and Manoj Kumar K.C. Nembang has done a commendable job as a debutante but he still has lot to do to prove himself the best. The main actor Mahesh Shakya alias Karma has been a revelation as an actor. He has still a lot to do for Nepali movies because our Nepali film industry lacks actors of such potential. Other actors also have done fairly good job. Creative minds don't need to go places like Switzerland for shoots, which the cinematographer has proved by capturing thrilling scenes in the city of Kathmandu only.

Still the movie has a lot of flaws like the unmatched twisting of the story and some scenes are difficult to relate with. Alok Nembang hasn’t been able to extract the best from the likes of Neer Shah, whose character isn’t much impressive in the movie. The story-line isn’t that powerful. However, the movie has been able to give new taste for Nepali audiences.

The Guru of Love: Book review

Summary and Critical thinking

In literature, portraying human realities come ahead of using decorative language. Samrat Upadhyaya’s novel “The Guru of Love” has well illustrated human realities without the use of overly decorative language. This book has plenty of instances to prove how our impulsive decisions sometimes leave us in dire strait.

The main character, Ramchandra, is an honest person relying on his maximum affordability and not more than that. He lives in a rented flat at Jaisideval, Kathmandu with his wife Goma and children: Sanu and Rakesh. By nature he is a quite and understanding person. He is an efficient math teacher at a poorly managed private school.

Ramchandra’s poor economic condition is often criticized by Mr. and Mrs. Pandey, his parents-in-law. They are worried about their daughter’s miserable life. Ramchandra is often treated disrespectfully with some kind of hatred behavior by Pandeys compared to their other son-in-law Harish, a successful businessman. Pandeys offer some financial help to Ramchandra to buy a house but he couldn’t accept it for he knows he wouldn’t be able to pay back such big lump of money.

Ramchandra is very poor and uncontrolled when he enters love and lust. Although having a very beautiful, understanding and a responsible wife, Goma, in his house, he couldn’t control himself entering into an adulterous relationship with one of his tutees, Malati. Goma, his wife by arrange marriage when discovers their affair, at first, lefts Ramchandra and moves to her parents’ large mansion. But after number of requests by Ramchandra she returns to their flat. Very unnaturally and surprisingly, she also demands his mistress, Malati move into their small quarter. Unable to dissuade her, Ramchandra finds his desires and fears living side by side. Malati, already a mother of a daughter, Rachana, after her relationship with Amrit, a taxi-driver who later betrays her, moves into Ramchandra’s flat. Very unusual to see in a Nepali society or, universal may be all around the world, Malati is treated very well, as her own sister by Goma proving far shrewder than she seems. In the very cramply managed quarter, Goma moves to her children’s room whereas Ramchandra shares the bed with Malati.

Later, Ramchandra develops the psychological distance his family making with him. Ultimately, his only escape is to let go of someone he loves. Luckily, Malati patches up with that Taxi Driver, a widower of his wife, and they marry afterwards.

Ramchandra’s daughter Sanu enters into an affair with one his tutees, Kamal, son of a rich bureaucrat. Sanu, having known her relationship discovered by her father, doesn’t bother to face him eye-to-eye. Ramchandra’s bitter story of the past is often reflected in the hatred behavior of his family members. Even Rakesh, once, admits that he would stand in the way if Ramchandra ever tries to hurt his mother. Ramchandra’s past seems to have printed outgoing behavior in his children.

After sonless Mr. and Mrs. Pandey’s death, Goma and her only younger sister Nalini inherit all properties. Nalini accepts to own the lands and that large mansion goes to Goma’s ownership. But they sell the house and commence a beautiful life on the outskirt of the Kathmandu Valley.

The story revolves around a middle class family driven to the state of quizzed and painful emotional crisis due to triangular love affair, lust and financial woes. When human necessities and desires go beyond our affordability they harm us in return. Humans need to confront their conditions considering the affordability, accessibility and social acceptance factors.

Samrat Upadhyaya has explored love, lust and marital relations only at a surface level. Although “The Guru of Love” is a story of contemporary Kathmandu, the Nepali readers may find the book quite unnatural and unsatisfactory. The book gives the impression of hurrying for a stereotypical quick-happy-end. It seems like a book especially written for foreign readers. I felt a kind of betrayal as a Nepali reader.

The best photographer: The Kathmandu Post

A street girl, having partially covered her face with a thin shawl, and leaning against the gate of a temple at Patan Durbar Square, turned her face to the other side as soon as she noticed the lens of my camera stretching toward her. After a few seconds she turned her face hoping not to see me there but my camera didn't miss to capture her half portrayed face. Anyone who saw this picture compliments it as a picture of an Afghan girl living in the bars and I consider this portrait to be the best of all I have ever clicked. It's wonderful to click something forcefully if it couldn't be done unnoticed.

Back in Dashain, I captured from my room, a newly married couple being felicitated for their successful marriage at my neighbor's house. I don't know what I would have done if I had spotted them practicing rather something private or erotic. But as a photographer, probably, no one would hesitate to capture such private affairs because they are always preying for something extraordinary or say, one that other photographers would seriously envy.

You have Nikon D300 in your hand and still you are not a photographer. Being a real photographer is a matter of patience and creativeness. Extracting a world out of a dust particle is not an easy job. Your eagle eyes should frame the informative world inside the camera in no time. But, we, photographers, at the time we are holding our cameras, open our eyes and shut down our heart. At this moment, predation overcomes our humanly sense- we wait to see how a baby reacts before dying instead of trying to save him/her. Kevin Carter, instead of trying to save the flood-stricken child, waited for the vulture which was waiting for the baby to die, to make some extraordinary moves. Later he killed himself in regression.

Abroad, celebrities are troubled out of extent by paparazzi although it is uncommon in Nepal. They spend very little time as common people because of omnipresent photographers hunting them in each move. They try to capture how they eat; how they walk; how they breathe. Viewers are ever excited to see something new and eye-catchy material. So, a photographer is always predating something or somebody to go unusual and exceptional to make it a sensational cover-page photo or, maybe wallpaper. They do not care about the serious consequences their photography may have in the life of the victims. Sometimes photographers really unbalance social life.

Nothing bars photographers. They manage to reach every accident site, bombarded area and dangerous place. Actually, such places are their best spots. Still, they are not fair in their job. They play with their life and still, they cheat and harm others unnoticed. They violate human ethics. All photographers are not journalists and no code of conduct controls them for such exceptions. Anyone would not dare to say -- “I'm the best photographer”, if s/he has best known their perfectionism. Oh, I really forgot--I have to complete the still-documentary 'Temples, the Best Spots for Love-Making'.

एउटा साँढेको कथा

सडकमा भौतारीइरहेको साँढे
घाँस खुवाउँदा पनि किसानले नार्न सकेन
पेट अघाएको त्यो
के मान्थ्यो मत्तिएको त्यो
झन् लखेट्न थाल्यो उसैलाई
उस्ले साँढेसँग खेल्न सकेन
किसानले घरको बाँझो बारी जोत्न सकेन ।।

अर्को किसानले फेरी,
घाँस दियो,
लठ्ठी पनि उचाल्यो,
साँढेलाई त खेल् जस्तो लागेछ
के मान्थ्यो डुली खाने त्यो,
यो किसानलाई पनि त्यस्ले टेरेन
किसानले घरको बाँझो बारी जोत्न सकेन ।।

मङ्सीर नलाग्दै,
तोरीका पँहेला फूलहरु,
ठूला ठूला पोटिला कोसाहरु,
किसानका भरिएका भकारीहरु ।।

यो मन त मेरो नेपाली हो

हिँजो को दिन,
यानकि भाई टिकाको भोलिपल्ट,
खासै रमाइलो गरी बितेन,
के यू त बन्द नै थियो,
अब छेउछाउका बस्ती र पसल सुत्ने नै भए,
उता बनेपा तिर गाडी चलेको थिएन,
भाई टिका भनेर छुट दीइएको
अस्तिको एउटा घटनाको विरोध,
तर, खासै अचम्म मानिनँ,
नेपालीको इतिहास यसरि नै निर्माण भैरहेको बेला,
अब दर्शक नै भैसकेका थियौँ हामी,
यस्ता घटना र विचारको ।

माइतमा नै हुनुहुन्थ्यो,
घरको खाना खुवाउने आन्टी,
घरको पानी पियाउने आन्टी,
खल्तीमा वेवारिसे पारामा लडिरहेका थिए,
हजारका नोटहरु,
सदुपयोग गर्ने ठाउँ थिएन,
अब तास खेल्न नजान्ने मान्छे,
टेबल भरी स्याउ र सुन्तलाका दानाहरु,
भुइँ भरी प्लस्टिक्मा सेल रोटीहरु,
सबै न्यानो पेटको प्रतिक्ष्यामा थिए,

(Palpasa Cafe: Book Review)पल्पसा क्याफे : पुस्तक परिचय

नेपाली माटो र नेपाली जनताहरुले आत्मसाथ गरेका १० वर्षे लामो जनयुयुद्दकालका केही सत्यतथ्य भोगाइहरुलाई मूख्य आधार बनाएर लेखिएको त्यही युद्धकालको एउटा सच्चा परिचय हो- पल्पसा क्याफे । करिब एक दशकभन्दा लामो अवधिसम्म खूनबाट पोतिएको यस नेपाली माटोका केही समसामयिक चेतनाहरुको एउटा चोखो उदाहरण हो यो पत्रकार नारायण वाग्लेको उपन्यास । सन् २००५ अर्थात वि.सं २०६२ साल को मदन पुरस्कार विजेता वाग्लेको यो उपन्यास सबै उमेरका पाठकहरुका लागी सुहाउँदो र पाच्य देखिन्छ । नेपाली भाषको सरल प्रयोगले गर्दा सबै किसिमका पाठकहरुका लागी यो उपन्यास सजिलो र प्रथम रोजाईको रुपमा साबित हुँदै आएको छ ।

यस उपन्यासको प्रमुख पात्र 'म' अथवा दृश्य चित्रकलामा उच्च ज्ञान र छवि भएको चित्रकार हो र यही सिपद्धारा ऊ आफ्नो भविष्य निर्माण गर्ने तर्खरमा लागेको छ । भारतको सुन्दर पर्यटकीय स्थल गोवा भ्रमणका क्रममा उसको पल्पसासंग संयॊगात्मक भेटघाट र चिनजान हुन्छ । कुरैकुरामा उनीहरु आ-आफ्नो लक्ष्य र व्यक्तित्वद्धारा एकअर्काबाट प्रभावित हुन पुग्छन् र त्यसै भेटको सुरुवात संगसंगै उनीहरुमा एकदमै गहिरो भावनात्मक प्रेमको विकास हुन थाल्छ । कहीँ-कहीँ यी दुईको चिठीको सहायताद्धारा प्रेमको अप्रत्यक्ष चर्चा भएको पाईए पनि प्रेमकथा यो उपन्यासको मुलभूत विषय होइन ।

अनेकौँ संयोगात्मक र भावनात्मक घटनाक्रम संगसंगै कथा अघि बढ्दै जान्छ । कथामा सबै घटनाहरु साधारण रुपमा घटिरहेका पाईए पनि तिनले सबै पात्रहरुमा गहिरो प्रभाव पारीरहेका हुन्छन् । पात्रहरु आफ्नो जीवनकाल निर्वाह गर्दै अघि बढीरहेका हुन्छन् साथसाथै कालो दशाले उनीहरुलाई पछ्याइरहेको हुन्छ । भय त्रास र मृत्यु उनीहरुको पछि-पछि हिँडिरहेको हुन्छ । उपन्यासले युवा-सपना र तिनीहरुका लक्ष्यप्राप्तिको सन्देशका साथसाथै तिनले राज्य र माओवादीका हातबाट भोगेका दुःख-दर्दलाई वास्तविकतासाथ देखाएको छ ।

यो उपन्यासले पात्रहरुको बर्गीकरण उत्कृष्ट ढङ्गले गरेको छ । आफ्नो लक्ष्य र कर्ममा कर्मठ र पूर्ण विश्वासनीय चरित्रहरुले यो उपन्यासलाई झन् वास्तविक बनाएका छन् । कथाकी एक मूख्य पात्र पल्पसा अमेरीकामा रहेका आफ्ना मातापितालाई छोडेर वृत्तचित्रमा आफ्नो भविष्य निर्माण गर्न नेपाल आएकी छे । छिरिङ्ग र किशोर क्रमशः फोटोग्राफी र गायनमा आफ्नो भविष्यलाई उज्ज्वल पार्न तल्लीन छन् । पल्पसाकी हजुरआमाले कथाको मूख्य पात्र दृश्यमा आफ्नो मातृभूमिप्रति सद्भाव विकास गराउन ठूलो भूमिका निर्वाह गरेकी छिन् । यी पात्रहरु आफ्नो चरित्रमा सरल देखिए पनि नेपाली समाजका सबै मानिसहरुको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्न किम्ती पनि चुकेका छैनन् ।

पहाडमा रहेको आफ्नो जन्मथलो बिसे्रर काठमाण्डौमा नै जीवन व्यतीत गर्न थालीसकेको दृश्यको जीवनमा उसको क्याम्पसको साथी सिद्धार्थको पुनरागमनले कथालाई नै मोडिदिन्छ । माओवादी पार्टीमा प्रवेश गरेर राज्यविरुद्ध जनयुद्ध लडिरहेको सिद्धार्थले दृश्यलाई एकपटक भएपनि आफ्नो गाउँ र्फिर्कन पे्ररित गर्छ । दृश्यले बाटोमा भेटेका स-साना सबै पात्र र चरित्रहरुले जनयुद्धमा होमिएर सखाप हुन लागीसकेको देशलाई प्रतिनिधित्व गरिरहेका हुन्छन् । युद्धबाट प्रत्यक्ष तथा अप्रत्यक्ष दुवै रुपमा सबै निर्दोष नेपाली जनताहरु पीडित भइरहेका हुन्छन् । मानिसहरु आफ्नो सन्तान मीत श्रीमान ईत्यादीहरुको मृत्युबाट पिरोल्लीरहेका हुन्छन् । युद्धमा बन्दुक र बमबाट ध्वस्त भएर बाँकी रहेका घर विद्यालय र अस्पतालका नाङ्गा पर्खालहरुले दृश्यको बाल्यकालका केही मीठा सम्झनाहरुलाई पनि छिया-छिया पारीदिन्छन् ।

विकासोन्मुख र युद्धविरोधी भावनाले उत्प्रेरित दृश्यले आफ्नो जन्मस्थल विकास गर्ने अठोट लिन्छ । उसले गाउँको एउटा अग्लो ठाउँमा आफ्नी प्रेमिका पल्पसाको नाउँबाट एउटा क्याफे - 'पल्पसा क्याफे' निर्माण गर्ने विचार गर्छ तर उसको साथी सिद्धार्थ र प्राणपि्रय पल्पसाको मृत्युले उसलाई कमजोर बनाउँछन्। अन्त्यमा राज्यबाट ऊ आफैँ बेपत्ता पारिन्छ र वियोगान्त रुपमा उपन्यासको अन्त्य हुन्छ ।

युद्धविरोधी भावना लोकतन्त्रको गुन्जन पुस्तान्तरको प्रतिध्वनि प्रकृति सङ्गीत चित्रकला र विशुद्ध प्रेमको उत्कृष्ट वर्णन भएको यो पुस्तक नयाँ शैलीको नेपाली उपन्यास हो । कुनै न कुनै पक्षबाट युवा-सपना युवा-समस्या र नेपाली संस्कृति र परम्पराको स्वाद दिने यो उपन्यास अनन्त कालसम्म नेपाली समाजमा चर्चा भईरहने समसामयिक विषयवस्तु बोकेको एउटा उत्कृष्ट ऐतिहासिक पुस्तक हो ।

नेपाली पाठकहरुमा आफ्नो मनोविज्ञान र दर्शन समाहित रचनाहरुले छुट्टै छाप छाड्न सफल बहुआयामिक व्यक्तित्वका धनी साहित्यकार विश्वेश्वरप्रसाद कोइरालाद्वारा रचित हिटलर र यहूदी दार्शनिक अभिव्यक्तिहरु सन्चित् एउटा सफल उपन्यास हो । कोइरालाका जीवनदर्शन यौनकुण्ठा मनोदशा र मनोविज्ञानमिश्रित 'दोषी चस्मा' र 'श्वेत भैरवी'जस्ता कथाहरु साथै 'सुम्निमा', 'तीन घुम्ती', 'नरेन्द्रदाई', 'मोदिआइन' र 'बाबु आमा र छोरा' जस्ता उपन्यासहरु हामीमाझ छुट्टै छाप छोड्न सफल रचनाहरु हुन्। एक महान् राजनीतिज्ञ र नेता हुँदाहुँदै पनि आफ्नो रचनाहरुमा राजनीतिक गन्ध आउन नदिनु सफल साहित्यकारको विशेषता हो । उपन्यासकारको समयको व्यस्तता र अभावले गर्दा अपूरै रुपमा प्रकाशित हुन गएपनि यस उपन्यासका हरेक पृष्ठहरु आफैँमा पूर्ण देखिन्छन् । उपन्यासमा प्रयोग भएका हरेक दार्शनिक शब्द र वाक्यहरुमा दमित भावनाहरुले विशेष अर्थ बोकेका छन्।

यो उपन्यास उपन्यासकार विश्वेश्वरप्रसाद कोइरालाकॊ यथार्थ जीवनको साक्षात्कार प्रमाण हुन नसके पनि केही हदसम्म उनको अनुभव भनेचाहिँ पक्कै हो । 'म' पात्रले आफ्नो रोगको औषधोपचार गराउन बम्बैबाट लण्डन जाँदा जहाजमा भेटिएका साथीहरु/यात्रीहरु पानीजहाजदेखि इजरायलसम्मको यात्रामा देखेका विभिन्न ठाउँ र त्यस अवधिमा बितेका क्षण र ग्रहण गरेका अनुभूतिहरुलाई दार्शनिक र कलात्मक अभिव्यक्ति दिएर लेखिएको उपन्यास हो 'हिटलर र यहूदी'। दोस्रो विश्वयुद्धपछिको समयलाई मूख्य पृष्ठभूमि बनाएर लेखिएको यो उपन्यास 'म' पात्रको माथी उल्लेखितबमोजिम यात्राको वर्णन हो। नाजीहरु हिटलरले यहूदीहरुमाथी गरेका दमनका दर्दानक विषयहरुको वरीपरी उपन्यास घुमे पनि यो उपन्यास पूर्विय र युरोपेली कला साहित्य सङ्गीत दर्शन र आस्थाको समिश्रण हो।

कुकुरको इज्जत गर्ने तर यहूदी जातीका मानिसहरु कोही पनि बाँच्न नहुने भन्ने मनसाय बोकेका नाजीहरु र निरङ्कुश हिटलरद्धारा बालबालिका तरुण तरुणी वस्यक वृद्ध सबै गरी लगभग साठी लाख यहूदीहरुलाई भीमकाय ग्यास च्याम्बरमा थुनेर बर्बरतापूर्वक पाशविक ढङ्गले आलुझैँ पोलियो। लक्का-जवान र बलिया यहूदी युवाहरुलाई शारीरिक हिसाबले गाह्रा कामहरुबाट फाइदा लिइसकेपछि हत्या गरियो। हिटलरका सेनाद्धारा सुन्दर यहूदी युवतीहरुलाई छानी-छानी आफ्नो यौनको भोक मेटाइसकेपछि निर्ममतापूर्वक हत्या गरियो। बाँच्न सफल यहूदीहरुले आफ्नो जन्मथलो छोडेर अन्यत्र गई सरणार्थी भएर बाँच्न विवश हुनुप-यो । यसका साथसाथै कि दुश्मनहरुलाई सिध्याउने कि महिलाहरुलाई आफ्नो घुँडामुनी पार्ने भन्ने मनसाय बोकेका हिटलरका सेनाद्धारा आफ्नो राष्ट्र र परिवारको सुरक्षामा जुटेका कैयौँ जर्मन युवाहरु म्ारिनुका साथै थियोडोराजस्ता अनगिन्ती नारीहरु बलात्कारको शिकार हुनुप-यो। त्यो मानवसंहारको भयानक महामारीले कसैलाई केही दिएन; त्यसले कसैलाई जिताएन; मात्र करोडौँ मारिए लिओनार्डजस्ता लाखौँ लङ्गडा भए अन्धा भए; कतिले श्रीमान् गुमाए कतिले भाई छोरा आदिजस्ता प्यारा आफन्तहरु गुमाए; पर्यटकीय स्थलहरु चिहानले भरिए; मानिसका सिर्जनाहरु सबै भत्केर गए; पेट पाल्न नाबालकहरुले पनि नङ् खियाउन थाल्नुप-यो; उमेरै नपुगेका इल्जेजस्ता केटीहरु पनि दिउँसै जीउ बेच्न थाले अनि यस्तै यस्तै………॥ आखिरमा युद्ध सहमतिमै टुङ्गो लाग्यो। युद्धका विध्वंसहरुका बारेमा उपन्यासभित्र चरम वितृष्णाको भाव पाईँने हुँदा यो उपन्यासलाई युद्धविरोधी उपन्यास भन्न सकिन्छ ।

परम्परागतरुपमा अराजक देखिने यो उपन्यासले गीतालाई कता- कता अस्वीकार पो गरेको हो कि जस्तो पनि भान हुन्छ । अस्तित्ववादी दृष्टिविन्दुमा लेखिएको यो उपन्यासमा एकातिर हिटलरले गीताको चरम अध्ययनलाई मानवसंहारका निम्ति दुरुपयोग गरेको पाईन्छ भने अर्कातिर उपन्यासका पात्रहरु जीवनको अस्तित्व खौज्दै भौतारीरहेका मात्र पाईन्छन् । परम्परागत नेपाली समाजको र त्यसमा पनि ब्राह्मण परिवारको सदस्य 'म' पात्र घरकी देवीजस्ती पत्नीलाई छोडेर औषधोपचारको लागी विदेशिन्छ र उसलाई आफ्नो रीति र पारिवारीक जिम्मेवारी भुल्न धेरै समय पनि लाग्दैन । यौन र उत्श्रृङखल्ताको भंगालोमा उसले बाह्य स्त्री रेवा को आलीङ्गनमा रमाउन कति पनि हिच्किचाहट मान्दैन । यात्राका विभिन्न पात्रका व्यवहारहरुलाई उद्रित गर्दै आवेगले उमेर चिन्न नसक्ने विचार पनि उपन्यासकार कोइरालाले यस उपन्यासमा व्यक्त गरेका छन् ।

मानिसले आफ्नो हैसियत नभुली राम्रो काम गर्न र असल बन्न सके मानवसमाजमा शान्ति र समुन्नति कायम गर्न सकिन्छ भन्ने मूलभावका साथै अस्तित्ववादी विचारको पृष्ठभूमिमा युद्धविरोधी भावना विसङ्गति निस्तारता कर्मवादितासहित मानवजीवनमा नियतिको सर्वोपारिता र मानवतावादजस्ता गहन् विषयमा यो उपन्यास केन्द्रीत भएको पाईन्छ।

Living With Dirty Games

I opened my gmail inbox and there, found a mail from a foreign girl requesting me to become her friend. She had picked up my mail ID from a youth forum website. There arises no question in accepting a sweet friendship proposal and that also from a girl, so, I replied her in a casual way. The very next day, I read her another mail. She was thanking me for my reply. The mail also read her as a civil war victim, forced to leave her country and taking asylum in foreign refugee camp after some rebels attacked her house and killed her successful businessman and then politician father, and her mother too. She was the only daughter of her parents and none was left to take care of her. It was a sad story and I was really sad and shocked.

Her other mails are quite romantic. I again received her next mail. Note- the letter always began with ‘My Dear!’ She chose me to share her pains and difficulties of life. I replied her in what way I could help her. The next mail contained her photos. She was a Negro girl but quite beautiful. Her face would remind me of singer Rihanna. But I can guarantee she was not Rihanna. The mail read that her, as the only child of her parents, is the next kin to her parental properties. She had her father deposited big lump of money at the Bank of Scotland. She as a refugee must needed a foreign trustee to transfer all that money in to her account. If I would mail the bank at the given address I would be registered there and she would get all that money. (She also mentioned that her father’s remaining two brothers are after his money. They would certainly try to kill her if they found her.) This time also there arose no questions in helping someone get a good life. At least God will thank me for my great deed. I replied her that I would do so within a week.

The next mail, oh! - She wanted to marry me. She is also offering me 20% of that money and is also requesting me to mail the bank as soon as possible. How could someone and that too, an unknown person like her trust me just like this? There must be something wrong! Her late father, a successful businessman and a politician- he might have his name shared over different sites. I searched his name in I was shocked to see the pages- the same mails that I was receiving, and were titled “Be careful with such mails…..” She was playing the game with several others like me. She was a fraud. I don’t know, may be he was a fraud. I was being lured. The technology was benefiting some ill-born humans.

I replied her/him as,-“One can lie one person at a time; one can lie that person every time; one can lie everyone at a time; but one cannot lie all the person all the time. You have lost the dirty game that you played to make some money from me and thousand others like me. You misused the technology and the technology disused you. You took the help of technology to dump me and I used and am using the technology to disclose your fraud.”

Uncomfortable and risky travel: The Kathmandu Post

Few days ago, I was going to Ratna Park by microbus sitting in the driver cabin. The front seats of microbus, which are for two people, were already packed. On the way, the vehicle stopped for a waiting passenger and the conductor suggested me to share the seat. I told him the seat was just for two people, but he told me that I should pay the fare of two if I couldn't manage a little space for that passenger. Not being in a mood to start a quarrel, I decided to sit very uncomfortably.
Passengers traveling by public vehicles experience a lot of stress. Sometimes, they should juggle up in the limited seats. It seems vehicles never get packed of passengers. They load the passengers until the vehicles are jam-packed and a few are hanging outside the door risking their lives. Are the passengers that much in a hurry to travel with such discomfort and risk? Or, are the vehicle staffs and local transportation controllers and operators so hungry of money? Even the traffic police are silent spectators while the rules are being violated. Who is to blame-passengers, drivers, vehicle owners, or the law enforcement bodies?
Moreover, there are numerous other problems. The vehicles are never punctual. They stop for the passengers at any place but the passengers have to wait for the right stop to get down. If there is no traffic police around, the vehicles frequently stop for a long time for passengers. Passengers' pleas to move on will be simply ignored.
Bus conductor is a low grade profession, not only because they are less paid but because they are less educated and undisciplined. The majority of conductors are unruly and rude. They usually use vulgar language and signs. Their behavior with passengers is very rude and inhumane. They behave with the passengers by judging their outer look or status. Most of them try to be dishonest while collecting fares. Similarly, drivers operating in the same routes never seem to have friendly attitudes towards each other. They sometimes give passengers a rude shock while overtaking each other dangerously in the narrow and busy roads.
But when it comes to enforcing new laws and rules, they are always for hiking fares. We need a lot of change intheir attitude and behaviour so as to ensure smooth travel. But the disputes and controversies are always for price and power. No one raises their voice for moral traits to be maintained by the vehicles staffs and operators. What about the ethics of conduct, punctuality and passenger seat? Have our law-makers thought of these matters? Why are the authorities not implementing the traffic rules these days?
